After having its subscriber base shoot up to as much as 700,000 a few months after release, the popular massively multiplayer online RPG Age of Conan isn't as massively multiplayer anymore. According to an estimate by E24, Age of Conan has no more than 100,000 subscribers left. More info inside.

A conservative Christian Investment firm, The Timothy Plan, puts out a warning for parents on getting some games for their kids for the holidays. For that, they put out a list of the 30 "most offensive" video games out there today. The list includes your usual suspects, but The Timothy Plan flags games that ring the gay-dar, even those little negligible things like Niko Bellic turning down gay ads in online dating.

Blizzard's J. Allen Brack and Tom Chilton are reiterating that World of Warcraft will not be heading for consoles. As if echoing Hideo Kojima's words yesterday about a 360 port of MGS4 being impossible, Brack and Chilton say that WoW was just basically not intended for the PS3 nor 360 to begin with. In Chilton's words, "it's a square peg round hole thing."

Funcom has announced that it'll be making its presence known at the upcoming DragonCon 2008. They'll be doing more than hosting a booth though; they've got a big event planned, as well as game presentations and item giveaways to boot! Learn more after the jump!

This year's Games Convention at Leipzig was a sure fire success. And though some of you might not think that the same could be said about E3, GC 2009 has already been scheduled. Via press release, we find out that this year's event has set records above and beyond what GC 2007 had, and reception from the masses has definitely shown a good sign that the video games industry is booming more than it used to.

More patch notes are out for Age of Conan's August 27 patch. It's not as long as the one released a couple of days ago, but it's still a pretty hefty update with changes to the classes, guilds, the GUI, and more. Check it out in the full article.

Today via press release, Funcom's let out a whole big batch (and by big, I mean "a huge number of" and "hugely insane resolutions of") screenshots, screenshots, and more screenshots for Age of Conan. We get to see the expansion teaser art too, as well as comparisons of Age of Conan on DirectX10 vs DirectX9. Plus a sneak peak at the free content that's coming within the next few months! It's thumbnail enlargement time!

Funcom product manager Erling Ellingsen in the Leipzig Games Convention reaffirmed that the upcoming Conan movie from Lionsgate will have some pretty close ties to their MMORPG, Age of Conan. Details are still sketchy, and they've a lot of hurdles to overcome yet.

Funcom has revealed a new teaser image forAge of Conan's first ever expansion pack that's set to be released next year. The concept art itself won't be released until tomorrow, but Eurogamer did give a description of what the concept art shows. Check it out in the full article.
