Like previous weeks, the biggest news has to do with the patch that Funcom rolled out last Thursday. Yes, last Thursday. Apparently, the developers found an issue with the update so they had to delay releasing it for one day to fix the problem.Link: Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures patch moved to Thursday Speaking of patches, this one is probably the biggest one yet and one of the most highly anticipated ones. Why? Well, what really hyped up the patch is that the preliminary patch notes were released on the test forums. This means subscribers got a quick look at what they were going to be getting even before the patch was released. Almost everything that was in the preliminary patch notes made it into the game except for the memory leak fixes (which ironically, is what a lot of gamers were hoping for). Link: Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures preliminary July 10 patch notes Too bad we didn't have enough time to cover everything this week so we're going to be making up for lost time here. Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures Game Director Gaute Godager released a letter to the subscribers of the game last July 11 while U.S. Community Manager Glen "Famine" Swan announced that they are looking for volunteers to help moderate the forums. Perhaps the most exciting part in Godager's open letter to the community was the announcement of new raid areas they plan on adding to the game. He noted that they've already made a tentative update content plan for the next year. The closest ones they plan on adding is a new adventuring region in Ymir's Pass for levels 55 to 60. In addition, a new level 80 dungeon in the same region as well. In addition to this, stated that they are focusing on fixing all of the bugs in the game. In addition, he pointed out that " As soon as QA gives the go on the internal quality they will be fully deployed to test live, and then to live" Famine on the other hand has announced that recruitment for volunteer forum moderators is once again open. So if you've got the time to help clean up the Age of Conan forums then why don't you apply and see if they accept your application. |

Man we've been hearing this for ages. Oh wait I don't play anymore so why do I even look at this news? Maybe because I'm looking for the bit that says they're closing their doors...or maybe it's because QJ's newsletter options DONT SAVE.
