Grab some mead and take a seat by the fire.<br><br>So as you already know, we at QJ.NET are launching this new blog, one that is very different from what you are used to seeing here at QJ.NET. Unlike our other blogs, the focus of this one is on you and the rest of the community! Yes, you read that right, you and the community.<br><br>Because of this change in focus, you can expect more community generated content like screenshots sent by our readers (so send in your screenshots and we might just post them on the website!), fan made videos, and even interviews with members of the guild.<br><br> Speaking of guilds, we know how important it is to have a regular group to hang out with in the game. <span style="font-style: italic;">Age of Conan</span> isn't Massively Multiplayer in name only after all. So we're proud to announce that we have an official guild on the Wiccana server, the same one that I talked about in <a title="The Age of Conan Weekend Warrior" href="http://aoc.qj.net/The-Age-of-Conan-Weekend-Warrior-patches-galore-and-more/pg/49/aid/121605">the first <span style="font-style: italic;">AoC</span> weekend warrior</a>: the Ravens of Memory. <br><img alt="RoM - Image 1" title="RoM - Image 1" src="http://img.qj.net/uploads/articles_module/121636/RoM-box.jpg?281607" style="cursor: pointer; margin-bottom: 3px; margin-left: 3px;" align="right" border="0"><br>Membership is open to everyone and we generally just want to hang-out and have fun (horse surfing and jumping off mountains is pretty common when we get together). But if <a href="http://aoc.qj.net/tags/raiding/6057" id="tag" title="">raiding</a>, PvP mini-games, or other "more serious pursuits" are your thing, we're pretty sure you'll find a number of like minded individuals in the group to join you on your escapades withing the guild. Hey, if I'm free, I'll even join you guys if you want.<br><br>This new focus on community doesn't mean that we're not going to be releasing <span style="font-style: italic;">Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures</span> news as fast as we have been doing so in the past. 	<title><![CDATA[Official MMORPG forums and those who abuse it]]></title>

        <description><![CDATA[<img alt="Anonymous - Image 1" title="Anonymous - Image 1" src="http://img.qj.net/uploads/articles_module/121786/anonymous.jpg?084588" style="cursor: pointer; margin-bottom: 3px; margin-left: 3px;" align="right" border="0">Ok, before you skip to the bottom of this article and post a comment, please read the post since I know that a lot of people who play MMORPGs will immediately have a knee jerk reaction to this rather touchy topic. <br><br>Now that that's out of the way, I've always wanted to talk about how depressing the forums can be to a player. For the record, I know that it is pretty much the same in all popular MMORPGs like <a href="http://aoc.qj.net/category/News/cid/5094"><span title="Funcom's Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures MMORPG" style="font-style: italic;">Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures</span></a> or even <a href="http://wow.qj.net/category/News/cid/2738"><span title="Blizzard's World of Warcraft MMORPG news" style="font-style: italic;">World of Warcraft</span></a>, but that doesn't make me or any of the other players who agree with what I have to say happy about it.<br><br>Simple fact, there are people who feel that they can post whatever the hell they want on the forums, <a title="Back in 2006, the WoD clan cleaned up their message boards and removed these kinds of people" href="http://mmorpg.qj.net/WoD-clan-message-boards-up/pg/49/aid/70783">confident that their anonymity will protect them</a>. For those of you who will protect these people's actions by saying that they have the right to their opinion, yes they do have a right to their opinion. <br><br>However, stating one's opinion by politely disagreeing with someone is not what some posters have been doing. Sense of decency? Who cares about that, I'm hidden behind my avatar!<br><br>I've heard people defend these individuals who are antagonistic by saying they are simply "passionate" about the game or what they are saying. Well, to be honest, being passionate about something doesn't give anyone the right to act like a total jerk the moment someone disagrees with them.<br><br>Now <a title="No, I'm not talking of the in-game trolls, but if you want to find out more about WoW trolls, check this out" href="http://mmorpg.qj.net/WOW-Trolls-Update/pg/49/aid/58930">moving on to trolls</a>. These guys post things just to get a reaction from the community. Why? They give out different reasons but one of the more common answers you get from these individuals is they do it to "get a laugh."<br><br>So if you hate these guys as much as I do, please ignore their posts and don't reply. Let them have their brand of "fun" on their own. Hey, maybe they'll start flaming themselves out of boredom, or even better, leave and never return.<br><br>Now, I've always been an advocate of the whole "don't post if you've got nothing to say" school of thought but that's just me. Unfortunately, this isn't the case as shown by the recent downtime we experienced earlier today. So what made <a href="http://aoc.qj.net/tags/funcom/1336" id="tag" title="Creator of MMORPG Age of Conan">Funcom</a> suddenly call for another patch session so soon after the last one?<br><br>Apparently, the developers from Funcom forgot to re-export one of the tables for the game which caused the sockets of certain items to disappear. Not to worry though as the developers have already fixed the problem and all previously socketed items have been restored, complete with any gems they previous were equipped with.<br><br>This kind of sucks since I (and a couple other players) was hoping to get in some game time before heading off to work today. Oh well, at least they fixed a major issue with the last update that many players have complained about in the forums.<br><br>]]></description>

On the official forums the community has polarized into two distinct factions: those who won't be continuing their subscriptions to the game and those who will gut it out. Now the question is, what is the right move to pursue at the moment?<br><br>Now, some of you guys may say that I won't be able to establish the answer to that question in one article. You're right. What I can do, however, is give you guys a few facts that might help you make a decision.<br><br>It won't be an exaggeration for me to say that the game is buggy as hell. The game still has a number of memory leaks that need to be addressed, there are a number of class skills that don't work, and there are quests that can't be completed. To top it all off, <a href="http://aoc.qj.net/tags/funcom/1336" id="tag" title="Creator of MMORPG Age of Conan">Funcom</a>'s <a href="http://aoc.qj.net/tags/customer-service/3217" id="tag" title="">customer service</a> isn't really that good and <a title="A lot of players have been complaining about the July 2 patch notes" href="http://aoc.qj.net/Age-of-Conan-Hyborian-Adventures-July-2-patch-notes/pg/49/aid/121715">the patches have been substandard at best</a>. <br><br><a href="http://img.qj.net/uploads/articles_module/121731/Holyscion_picture064_qjgenth.png?432188" rel="lightbox[article121731]" title="Age 20of 20Conan 3A 20Hyborian 20Adventures 20- 20Image 201 20 26nbsp 3B 20 20 26nbsp 3B 20 3Ca 20href 3D 22http 3A//img.qj.net/uploads/articles_module/121731/Holyscion_picture064.png 3F432188 22 20target 3D 22_blank 22 3E 3Cimg 20src 3D 22/img/newwindow.png 22 20title 3D 22Open 20in 20new 20window 22 20border 3D 220 22 3E 3C/a 3E"><img style="margin-right: 3px;" alt="Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures - Image 1" title="Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures - Image 1" src="http://img.qj.net/uploads/articles_module/121731/Holyscion_picture064_qjgenth.png?432188" align="left" border="0"></a> Yes, I will admit that there are times that it feels like I'm paying to play <a title="The lag in sieges are horrible according to those who tried it out" href="http://aoc.qj.net/Age-of-Conan-Hyborian-Adventures-lag-makes-siege-almost-unplayable/pg/49/aid/121251">an extended beta test version of the game</a> and that Funcom seems to have fallen into a number of pitfalls that other developers of successful MMORPGs experienced back when they were starting out.<br><br>However, despite of these problems, the game is still playable. I can honestly say that I'm having fun despite all of the issues that I previously mentioned. <br><br>The memory leaks are horrible, but I've never really experienced them as often as some have reported. Not having a number of my class skills working just sucks, and to be honest, I wonder when Funcom will get to that. The quests are slowly being fixed.<br><br>Funcom's customer service will probably improve when they decide to get MORE PEOPLE to help manage the growing community and the patches, well, at least they fix a few of the problems in the game.<br><br><iframe src="http://digg.com/api/diggthis.php?u=http://digg.com/pc_games/Age_of_Conan_Hyborian_Adventures_15" allowtransparency="true" background-color="transparent" style="margin-bottom: 5px; margin-left: 5px;" align="right" scrolling="no" width="55" frameborder="0" height="82"></iframe>Now that I think about it, I guess I will continue to play <span style="font-style: italic;">Age of Conan</span>. Funcom has rolled out yet another patch for their MMORPG, <a href="http://aoc.qj.net/category/News/cid/5094"><span title="Funcom's Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures MMORPG" style="font-style: italic;">Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures</span></a>. <a title="This isn't really a big deal considering they dropped patching down to once a week" href="http://mmorpg.qj.net/Age-of-Conan-Hyborian-Adventures-patching-schedule-changed/pg/49/aid/121635">Unlike the previous patches</a>, this will take the developers six hours to put up instead of the usual five so that they can do some additional maintenance on the servers (much better than the extended downtime we experienced last patch!).<br><br>The developers have been quite busy, as can be seen a number of fixes implemented in siege combat and quest fixes. In addition, the developers also added a number of tradeskill fixes that players have been asking for.<br><br>We're not going to keep you guys any longer. Here's the patch notes for the July 2 <span style="font-style: italic;">Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures</span> update. Enjoy!<br><span style="font-weight: bold;"></span><br><span style="font-weight: bold;">Player Classes</span><ul><li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Mage</span></li><ul><li>Tome of Erlik now has effects and sounds.</li></ul><ul><li>Purge now has sound and particle effects associated with it and should now go on the appropriate cooldown. Purge now provides 5 seconds of <a href="http://aoc.qj.net/tags/immunity/8377" id="tag" title="">immunity</a> in addition to removal of effects.</li></ul><ul><li>Misdirection now has received a better visual and should no longer look like a lightning strike.</li></ul><ul><li>Weakened Protection will no longer refresh itself after the player cancels his own Absorb buff.</li></ul><li><span style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="http://aoc.qj.net/tags/rogue/4912" id="tag" title="">Rogue</a></span></li><ul><li>Mountaineer, Distraction, and Concealment effects are now innate in the feat and will not take up space in the Rogue's buff window. They will still provide a buff to the Rogue's teammates.</li></ul><ul><li>Distraction will now properly apply to the Rogue's teammates.</li></ul><li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Bear Shaman</span></li><ul><li>Reaper Claws will no longer disappear when you zone.</li></ul><li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Conqueror</span></li><ul><li>Feint Attack combo animation speed will now scale correctly for both male and female. Now the male and female should do equal damage.</li></ul><li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Necromancer</span></li><ul><li>The <a href="http://aoc.qj.net/tags/splash-damage/11143" id="tag" title="makers of Enemy territory: Quake Wars">splash damage</a> of the Deathless Acolyte: Magus has been increased from 10  to 30 , with 4 meter range and a maximum of 5 targets</li></ul><ul><li>The Deathless Acolyte: Reaper and Deathless Acolyte: Arcanist now have 30  splash damage with 2 meter range on a single additional target</li></ul><ul><li>The Deathless Acolyte: Arcanist's chance to trigger the Arcanist's Knowledge has been doubled</li><li>The Arcanist's Knowledge effect will now display the current stack count in the buff GUI</li><li>Casting Frost Blast will no longer cause the Necromancer to get stuck in a casting animation</li><li>Flash Freeze now additionally decreases the casting time and increases the damage of Freeze</li><li>Freeze will now clear the target of all Necromancer damage-over-time effects when cast, this will reduce the chance of it breaking accidentally on damage</li><li>Ice Shackle no longer has a chance to break on damage</li><li>The debuff effect applied by Wither Soul should now have the appropriate icon</li></ul></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Combat</span><ul><li>Thrown weapons have had their range increased: Light throwing weapons now have a range of 15 meters, up from 12. Heavy throwing weapons now have a range of 18 meters, up from 16.</li><li>Generic <a href="http://aoc.qj.net/tags/npc/3098" id="tag" title="Non-player character">NPC</a> crowd control effects have been tweaked. Resistances from feats and other player effects should now help against NPC crowd control. Stun, knockback, charm, and fear will now grant the player immunity.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Massive PvP</span><ul><li>Battlekeeps now have resurrection points for the attackers, that are located near the front gate of the city.</li><li>Fixed an issue that disabled Siege Weapons if the target was out of range.</li><li>NPC's will properly respawn when a building is repaired.</li><li>Players are now able to use a siege weapon after the player using it has gone linkdead.</li><li>Players now get a notification when they are about to get teleported out during a Massive PvP battle.</li><li>Damaged playerbuilt curved walls now have correct collision so they can not be walked through before they are completely destroyed.</li><li>Lacheish Plains: Several holes have been closed in the West Battlekeep so players can no longer bypass the walls there.</li><li>Poitain: Several holes have been closed in the West, South and East Battlekeeps so players can no longer bypass the walls there.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Mounts</span><ul><li>Moving around while mounted should now correctly interrupt spell-casting.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Items</span><ul><li>Fixed a tooltip error on the crossbow Skysmite causing the bonuses to be illegible.</li><li>The recipe for Steelsilk Belt has been changed to Fine Steelsilk Belt.</li><li>The recipe for Steelsilk Leggings has been changed to Fine Steelsilk Leggings.</li><li>Selling a gemmed item to a shop and undoing the sale will no longer remove the gems.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Playfields</span><ul><li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Armsmans Arena</span></li><ul><li>Doors should no longer be targetable in the Arena.</li></ul><ul><li>Fixed an issue where players managed to get locked inside the monster cages in the Arena. You should now be able to get out using the Lever.</li></ul><li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Lacheish Plains</span></li><ul><li>all the levers for each door in Stonehammer battlekeep should now work properly.</li></ul></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Tradeskills</span><ul><li>A progress bar will appear whenever gemcutting is performed.</li><li>Crafted armor pieces no longer incorrectly have more defense rating than normal pieces of armor.</li><li>Resolved a level check for the response to give when character is below level 70 and tries to learn gathering Oak.</li><li>The Weaponsmith workshop plan can now be correctly learned from the Architect trainer.</li><li>Blue Iron can again be mined from the correct mineral veins.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Quests</span><ul><li>Stonecutter Trainer: Fixed a dialogue issue so the trainer will now accept Basalt and Adamant to resolve the quest.</li><li>Cannibal Commotion: Fixed an issue where Attadeus would become stuck and not allow you to update the quest.</li><li>The Bearer of Ill Tidings: The Field of the Dead quest "The Bearer of Ill Tidings" and "Allies of the White Hand" are now level 48.</li><li>The Den of Wolves: The goal name was changed from "The Den of Wolves" to "Kill Plains Wolves".</li><li>The Wolf Hunt: The goal name was changed from "The Wolf Hunt" to "Kill Yukagi Wolves".</li><li>Death to <a href="http://aoc.qj.net/tags/the-undead/10962" id="tag" title="new homebrew lua game developer">the Undead</a>: The goal name was changed from "Death to the Undead" to "Destroy Conriocht werewolves in the Haunted Forest".</li><li>Greater Prey: The goal name was changed from "Greater Prey" to "Kill werewolf Rippers, Antagonizer, <a href="http://aoc.qj.net/tags/slasher/5917" id="tag" title="Homebrew coder">Slasher</a> and Slicers".</li><li>The Curse of the Werewolves: The goal name was changed from "The Curse of the Werewolves" to "Kill Conriocht Menaces, Slayers and Goremuzzles".</li><li>Fit for a Chieftain: You will now correctly receives the item 'Fur of Bloodclaw' in the quest inventory.</li><li>Attack of the Savages: An issue where the goal text was not clear has been changed to "Kill Raiders at the Guard Post".</li><li>Castle of King Conan: Pallantides now doesn't display an exclamation mark over his head unless you can get the quest from him.</li><li>Tortage: Renton should now have one coherent look as opposed to changing look between quests.</li><li>Paetus &amp; the Nemedian Crown III: Gavion now gives the player the map and letter back when he ask the player to go talk to King Conan about this treason. Players will need to delete their old quest "Paetus &amp; the Nemedian Crown III" and speak with Gavion again to continue this quest line.</li><li>Lusts of the Flesh: You now get a cask of Tainted Ale to give to Tuthmekri. Well, one of <a href="http://aoc.qj.net/tags/funcom/1336" id="tag" title="Creator of MMORPG Age of Conan">Funcom</a>'s devs, Svein Erik Jenset, who goes by the handle Sharum on the official forums, released a rather lengthy post explaining the problem, why it's taking so long to fix it, and what solutions they have in mind.<br><br>Apparently, there is more to the attack speed problem than people would expect. Regular attacks, he pointed out can easily be fixed by simply lessening the length of the female character animations (which Sharum noted, was longer than that found in male characters). <br><br>However, the problem with the combo attacks is a different story altogether. The damage of combo attacks are based on multiple factors as Sharum explained. Here's what he had to say about it:<br><br><p style="padding-left: 40px; padding-right: 40px;">there are suddenly several factors that come into play when determining the final damage. I won  t be wasting too much time in this update to go into detail about every factor, but to quickly list a few they would be stat/modifier/multiplier (which in turn depends on class, level and weapon equipped), length of animation and, although irrelevant to this exact issue any longer, amount of steps in a combo sequence.  </p><br><br>]]></description>

This update fixes a number of the issues that players have been complaining about, specifically the problems with siege warfare. In addition, the developers also double the sizes of the bags in the game. A good move if you ask me considering the really high costs the vendors are charging for the bags!<br><br>As expected, the developers also threw a couple of undocumented patch changes into the game as well. Perhaps the biggest change that they didn't mention is a ninja fix for the Wounded Child quest. Why join a guild anyway?</span><br><br>Yes, it was a patch filled week for <span style="font-style: italic;">Age of Conan</span> subscribers, but we're not going to be focusing on that since the official forums have been generally very busy from players screaming about the nerfs to their favorite class, to trolls trying to get some attention from the more intelligent players. <br><br>Today we're going to talk about the advantages of guilds and the possibility of a QJ.NET guild.<br><br><img alt="Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures Ravens of Memory - Image 1" title="Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures Ravens of Memory - Image 1" src="http://img.qj.net/uploads/articles_module/121605/RoM.jpg?514790" style="cursor: pointer;" align="right">That said, I'd also like to give a shoutout to an awesome guild on the  <span style="font-style: italic;">Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures</span> Wiccana server called Ravens of  Memory. This family-friendly guild is perhaps one of the most accommodating on the server and features a plethora of cool players.<br>  <br>  Now, I'm not saying that joining a guild is for everyone, as some  players have a tendency to prefer soloing through most of the game (which isn't a bad thing,  mind you). However, joining the Ravens of Memory really helped my  character complete some of the quests and introduced me to some really nice players. <br><br>To give a concrete example on how they helped me out, one of the members, Sholk, even gave me (note, not lend, <span style="font-weight: bold;">gave</span>) one gold and a couple of silver to help me get my mount. While you shouldn't expect people to do this for you, I have to say that the offer he made to help me out was a very nice move on his part and is a common thing in the guild.<br><br>Joining a guild is a two-way thing, you also should help out the guild. While the Ravens of Memory don't require players to actually help out, they're so nice, accommodating, and dedicated to the group that you'll soon find yourself happily contributing to the organization in your own way.<br>  <br>So if any of you guys encounter Dingar, Riggster, Krystalz, Drenai, Mikochi, Sholk, Holyscion or anyone else in the Ravens of Memory online, don't hesitate to say "hi". In addition to the usual class tweaks, this latest patch has split up a questline into four parts, re-allowed limited <a href="http://aoc.qj.net/tags/spellcasting/4564" id="tag" title="">spellcasting</a> on mounts, and revamped active blocking.<br><br>Here are the full set of <a title="Age of Conan June 23 patch notes revealed" href="http://mmorpg.qj.net/Age-of-Conan-Hyborian-Adventures-June-23-patch-notes-released/pg/49/aid/121406">patch notes</a>. Feel free to go ahead and update your client while you're reading, so you can get back into the action as soon as possible. <br><br><span style="font-weight: bold;">Player Character</span><br><br>Archetype<br><ul><li>The bonus magical damage granted from Mystical Attunement has been doubled for Mages.</li><li>Spells that were incorrectly receiving bonuses from increased magical damage will no longer scale with increased magical damage. This adjustment will only affect such spells that were not meant to have scaling with the increased magical damage bonus. This resolves issues with enhancement spells like "Pact with Set" where the health loss was too high for the trade off for the bonus to damage.</li></ul>Barbarians<br><ul><li>An issue where Barbarians lose strength between the levels of 42 and 45 has been resolved. Please note that this is only between those specific levels.</li></ul>Demonologist<br><ul><li>Infernal Knowledge and Diabolic Insight will no longer appear as hostile spells and will still persist after death.</li></ul>Necromancer<br><ul><li>The bonus gained from magical damage has been increased on all damage-over-time (DoT) spells.</li><li>Despoil the Soul duration has been substantially increased and is no longer removed on death.</li><li>Frost Blast's area-of-effect (AoE) has been changed to be a 90 degree cone in front of the caster.</li><li>Shatter now additionally works on targets affected by Frost Blast and Ice Shackle.</li><li>Dark Knowledge and Vile Insight will no longer appear as hostile spells and will still persist after death.</li><li>Mark of the Devourer duration has been reduced to 60 seconds.</li></ul>Ranger<br><ul><li>Raid-level bows and crossbows for Rangers have been corrected to add ranged DPS instead of melee DPS.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Combat</span><br><ul><li>Active blocking has been revamped to bring it back in line with the original design. Active blocking will now correctly display a buff in the debuff GUI to indicate the effect. You will now have an initial stamina cost upon activation and shielding bonus rather than evade chance. Attacks and heals performed while in   Active Blocking   will also have a reduced effect.</li><li>Certain group buffs should no longer keep you in combat when your pets are also in the group.</li><li>Melee pets will now do splash damage.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Items</span><br><ul><li>Bags that were not able to be equipped can now be equipped again.-</li><li>The two-handed edged weapon Earthwrack has now received its visual appearance back.</li><li>Exaltate's Girdle, Exaltate's Armbands, and Hellbreaker Hammer will now appear correctly.</li><li>Javelins have been revamped based on player feedback. The length of all current javelins will now be of decent length. All javelins have also received some adjustments to the throwing and holding animations, as well adjusted so all characters correctly hold the javelin by the shaft.</li><li>Polearms have been revamped based on player feedback. All polearms have been standardized to a new larger size.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="http://aoc.qj.net/tags/npc/3098" id="tag" title="Non-player character">NPC</a></span><br><ul><li>Solo monsters, minibosses and bosses have been adjusted to be more of a challenge than what they had been previously for level 70 and up. The adjustments will not affect grouped and raid monsters in any way as this will only affect solo monsters. The change will ensure that the game is both entertaining and challenging at higher levels.</li><li>All players in a raid dungeon are now hated by the boss while the boss is under attack.</li><li>There should no longer be multiple versions of Aquilus in the Armsmans Tavern.</li><li>Champion of the Honorguard will now use his axe throw ability less frequently.</li><li>The adds for Vistrix and Yakhmars have had their AI revamped.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Massive PvP</span><br><ul><li>Battlekeep owners should now be able to apply to attack other battlekeeps without any problems.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Mounts</span><br><ul><li>You should now once again be able cast spells while mounted. There will be some limitations on which spells and which type of spells you're able to cast.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Playfield</span><br><ul><li>Raid playfields should now properly reset correctly.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">The Black Castle</span><br><ul><li>This Kopshef Province dungeon has been completely redone. We encourage you to pay it a visit. Overcome the challenging new encounters along side with your companions and reap the rewards. This group instance is aimed for characters in the 30 - 35 level range.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Quest</span><br><ul><li>Kidnapping and Torture: You can no longer interact with the palisades while the NPC is burning. This should help make it clearer when the quest can be completed.</li><li>Ante Up - Giants Approaching: When the timer expires you should be able to interact with the Rock to restart the event.</li><li>Master of Gargoyles: Cha will now thank you for completing the quest.</li><li>Bowls of Set: The quest should now properly display the goal names.</li><li>The Honoured Dead of Cimmeria: This quest has been removed and revamped into 4 smaller quests with new rewards. The new quests are "The Honoured Dead I," "The Honoured Dead II," "The Honoured Dead III," and "The Honoured Dead IV."</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Tradeskills</span><br><ul><li>Opening Alchemy Tradeskill book should no longer crash the client.</li><li>All vendor-supplied tradeskill resources have had their max stack size set to 20, with the exception of city-building components from vendors which have the max stack size of 100</li><li>Mages and Priest mobs will now drop an Alchemists Cache randomly, which contains random resources for the level-range where it was found. Thankfully, a certain enterprising forum poster (yes, krazymagic, I mean you) compiled the undocumented patch changes for <a href="http://mmorpg.qj.net/Age-of-Conan/cid/783"><span title="Funcom's Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures MMORPG " style="font-style: italic;">Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures</span></a> and released it to the general gaming community. <br><br>Perhaps the biggest change is a ninja fix to the Wounded Child quest which now makes the girl spawn a few minutes after being claimed by another player! When I did this quest I had to wait a full six hours before seeing the darn kid so this is a welcome change.<br><br>The developers have also added some new bags to the general merchants for players who feel like they need to increase their inventory storage on a regular basis (and to be honest, who doesn't?).&nbsp; <br><br>Of course this patch also brought about a number of new bugs that the developers will <br>have to resolve including yet another problem with the <a href="http://aoc.qj.net/tags/alchemist/1455" id="tag" title="a person who practices alchemy">Alchemist</a> tradeskill which causes a player's system to crash when the Tradeskill book is opened. <br><br>So without further ado, here's a list of the undocumented patch changes for the June 23 <span style="font-style: italic;">Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures</span> update:<br><br><span style="font-weight: bold;">General</span><br><ul><li>Heroic Defense Rating has been renamed to "Defense Rating (Heroic)"</li><li>Tooltips for several classes abilities and items have been improved to give better information on Mouse over.</li><li>Many reports of Improved performance across the board.</li><li>Some Battle Keeps which had no levers previously now have them.</li><li>You can no longer jump around some of the walls on certain keeps where it was an issue (not all fixed)</li><li>All battle Keeps have been re-named.</li><li>Rest ability can now be used in combat, as long as you are not taking damage.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Quests</span><br><ul><li>Captives quest chain in Fields of the dead Outpost is now working</li><li>Wounded Child quest is now working properly. The girl will now respawn in just a matter of minutes.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Items</span><br><ul><li>Additional bags are now available from the general Merchants.</li><li>You can no longer insert higher quality gems into lower quality items. (IE: Lv. 75 Gem into Lv. 70 or lower Armor)</li><li>A few more nameless items have received Names.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">World</span><br><ul><li>Respawn rate of mobs in purple lotus has greatly increased</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Classes</span><br style="font-weight: bold;"><ul><li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Necromancer</span></li><ul><li>Vile Insight moved from a Friendly Spell to a Hostile Spell, possibly also not working now.</li><li>DTS changed from a   to  magical damage, also possibly not working now.</li><li>Necro's have been given a free feat respec in light of all the adjustments.</li><li>see quote below for dev response to the huge necromancer changes.</li></ul><li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Dark Templar</span></li><ul><li>All DT specific combos are now One-Handed Swords and One-Handed Blunts instead of One-Handed Edged and One-Handed Blunts. In other words- Axes will no longer work for combos.</li></ul></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">New Confirmed Bugs/Issues:</span><br><ul><li>Storm Field will only damage the first 3 mobs it hits. If those 3 die, any of the others in the AoE will still not take damage.</li><li>Alchemist do not open your Tradeskill Book- You will crash to desktop. This is a known bug and funcom is tracking it down already.</li><li>Champion of the Honorguard has been nearly granted God Mode aparantly. Reports of him being impossible to kill now.</li><li>Necromancer Pet point counter at the top of pet list is now bugged. It does not correctly add the new points from the "One with the dead" spell. You are still able to have the extra pets out, but only 8 points will remain remain on the counter.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Ongoing Concern's/Bug status</span><br><ul><li>Instance cool downs are still bugged</li><li>Socketed items still bugged, subtracting stats if you zone or login with them equipped</li><li>Gem's and silk, etc are still not showing up on the Trader.</li><li>Female Attack speed is still untouched.(Devs have posted today that an official responce on this issue will be posted this week. Look for it.)</li><li>Noble District Arena entrance quest still bugged.</li></ul><br><br>]]></description>

A very good decision considering how expensive the bags are in the game! <br><br>The developers have also added some code changes which should improve client performance as well as a particle option in the video options to help players deal with the slowdown that usually happens when other characters cast spells.<br><br>We could go on and on about the improvements but we're sure you'd rather check out the patch notes for yourself. So here it is. Enjoy!<br><br><span style="font-weight: bold;">Massive PvP</span><br><ul><li>Player city keeps now contain a vendor that sells siege weapons.</li><li>Players will now get teleported out of the zone before the battle starts.</li><li>Traders that would not spawn at the Battlekeep Tradeposts will now spawn. Traders will now be available at Battlekeeps.</li><li>Ballista NPCs will no longer spawn at an unbuilt tower.</li><li>The Boarder Kingdoms has had its environments adjusted. If you are already higher than level 5, you will gain this spell automatically.</li></ul><li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Core Revision Adjustments</span></li><ul><li>Dark Knowledge and Vile Insight now last 12 hours instead of 1 hour and will no longer be removed upon death.</li><li>Plagued Heart Curse will now correctly increase in damage with more feats trained.</li><li>Decomposition now increases Flesh to Worms by 35  at max rank instead of 30 .</li><li>Unholy Power has been rebalanced to have a more consistent effect across all levels.</li><li>Brutal Death now increases the critical strike chance of Pestilential Blast, Life Strike, Ice Strike, and Chill by 2/4/6/8/10 </li><li>Ice Shards now increases the splash range and damage inflicted by Chill in addition to Ice Strike.</li><li>Flash Freeze now additionally increases the damage of Frost Blast by 75/150/250 .</li><li>Bones of Frost now additionally increases the damage of Gelid Bones by 5/10/15/20/30 .</li><li>Frozen Body now increases the damage of Ice Strike, Chill, and Deathly Blizzard by 2/4/6/8/10 .</li><li>Corrupted Soul now increases the damage of Pestilential Blast, Life Strike, and Blasphemous Ruin by 2/4/6/8/10 </li><li>Soul Absorption now restores a significantly higher amount of mana when consuming a pet.</li><li>Frost Reach now additionally increases the damage of Frost Blast by 75/150/250 .</li><li>Ritual of the Lich has had its spell damage multiplier increases from 10  to 25 .</li><li>Embrace Death now has an increased effect. The maximum effect of this ability has been increased from 4  to 10 .</li><li>Pets now move faster and follow NPCs better.</li><li>Void has had its stamina/mana drain increased. It will also have the chance to crit.</li><li>Archmage feat has been moved to up in the general feat tree.</li><li>Unholy Fortitude has been changed to reduce the recast time of Frenzy by 12 seconds per rank, up from 4 seconds per rank.</li><li>The levels at which you get your pet points has been significantly changed. You will now get them at the following levels: level 5 - 2 points, level 10 - 4 points, level 15 - 6 points, level 20 - 8 points. You will now have your maximum number of pet points available at level 20.</li><li>Despoiled the Soul has had its mana cost and recast time reduced. When you train Despoil the Soul you will get a secondary spell, Reap the Soul. This spell can be used to refresh your current Despoil the Soul, making it easier to keep your Despoil the Soul counter where you want it. In addition, Despoil the Soul will also increase a bonus to magical damage instead of being a damage multiplier.</li></ul></ul><ul><li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Nuke Balance Adjustments</span></li></ul><ul><ul><li>All damage spells have been rebalanced to take into account your having all 8 pet points at level 20. This leads to better scaling of your damage spells, and reinforces that you are a pet class reliant on pets for a significant amount of damage.</li><li>Archmage pets incorrectly did not have the area-of-effect damage coefficient applied. Their damage has been corrected to take into account their nukes are AOE nukes.</li><li>Increased the damage of Necrotic Pustule, Gelid Bones, and Chill.</li><li>Significantly increased the explosion damage of Necrotic Bomb.</li><li>Chill has received <a href="http://aoc.qj.net/tags/splash-damage/11143" id="tag" title="makers of Enemy territory: Quake Wars">splash damage</a> (50  damage to 1 target), and splash damage from Ice Strike has received a increase in splash damage from 15  to 30 .</li><li>Lifestrike Rank 4 will correctly have the damage-over-time effect.</li><li>Parasitic Soul Swarm and Unholy Hands will now take pet damage contribution into account and should be in line with damage as it was originally intended.</li></ul></ul><ul><li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Pet Effect Adjustments</span></li><ul><li>Blighted One has had its proc rate and amount of mana damage significantly increased.</li><li>Dead Blight stamina damage was also significantly increased if it is trained and will have a chance to crit.</li><li>Harvester has received an increase to the amount of mana healed and stamina healed by the pet. The Harvester will now heal more mana than stamina (although the stamina gain is now still significantly increased over the previous value). These can also have a chance to crit.</li><li>Life-Stealer has had it's amount of health increased significantly. We also reduced the variance of the heal and added a chance to crit.</li><li>Mutilator's Mutilation damage-over-time (DoT) effect has had an increase to the damage. Gamers will be happy to know that there are a number of fixes already in the pipeline and the developers are hoping to get up a few of these by as early as the Monday downtime:<br><br><p style="padding-left: 40px; padding-right: 40px;">  The improvements will include: a) ways to remove / hide performance impacting particles and sound, b) a more stylized view-distance (shorter and more pvp fitting) in the battle areas to increase <a href="http://aoc.qj.net/tags/framerate/8438" id="tag" title="">framerate</a> c) changes to how certain abilities and spells are being propagated. We are also confident that this fixes will greatly improve the framerate and overall client performance in the Siege Battles.</p><br>In addition, the developers have promised that they will not stop optimizing this instance until they get to a stage where "we [Funcom] are happy that all clients can host  / participate in Siege PvP."<br><br>With regards to content and collision, the developers have said that the problems are not as bad as the client issues. The post said that Funcom already have collision bug fixes for the dynamic collision on their way already.<br><br>While I love the game as much as the next guy and want to believe in what the developers are saying, I'll have to wait for these fixes to go live and see if they really improve the performance of the sieges. Well, apparently, they've never had to face opponents while lagging in <a href="http://mmorpg.qj.net/category/Age-of-Conan-Hyborian-Adventures/cid/783"><span title="Funcom's Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures MMORPG news" style="font-style: italic;">Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures</span></a>. The first siege on the Deathwhisper server took place this morning at 6 A.M. and it seems that the lag made the instance almost unplayable. <br><br>A poster from the Sinister Forums gave a blow by blow account of the problems they encountered with <a title="More details on the siege system" href="http://mmorpg.qj.net/Age-of-Conan-Hyborian-Adventures-Details-and-clarifications-on-massive-PvP-system/pg/49/aid/119188">the siege system of the game</a> with lag being on top of the list. There were around 90 players engaged in the battle and the <a href="http://aoc.qj.net/tags/framerate/8438" id="tag" title="">framerate</a> was said to have dropped to " a solid 2-3 fps."<br><br>Before you go bashing the poster by saying that he might be running a low end system, note that he was packing a quad core 2.4 GHZ system with 2 GB of RAM and an 8800 GT. A setup which can run the game at a solid 40 to 60 FPS under "normal circumstances."<br><br>In addition to the lag, here are some of the other problems that other players reported:<br><ul><li>The 48 vs 48 doesn't work for shit. Its like 96 ppl per zone and LoTD had the usual zerg there (including PRX, DDH) what blocked a good amount of our guys out. If the zone is full and you die it just kicks ya out and resses you at a random gy in the world. After the first ppl got locked out/ressed out I would guess it was around 60 defenders against 36 attackers in this siege.</li><li>Siege machines dont work.</li><li>The Keeps themselves are bugged as hell...you can walk by walls, through walls, through buildings and stuff.</li><li>Theres only one gy for the attackers which is so far off that it ain't funny.</li><li>Merc system doesn't work, you have to guildhop to help your allies, whats stupid and annoying.</li><li>The lag...its insane, beyond everything you can imagine. On my computer i couldn't move a step, on macs computer thats really good I had a kickass 5 fps.</li></ul>It's unfortunate that these problems haven't been worked out by <a href="http://aoc.qj.net/tags/funcom/1336" id="tag" title="Creator of MMORPG Age of Conan">Funcom</a>. After all, siege combat is perhaps one of the biggest draws of the game. Hopefully, the developers will sit down and take a long hard look at the instance and fix it because if they keep it as it is, I know of quite a number of players who will be unsubscribing to the game.<br><br>]]></description>

Like most patches for MMORPGs, there are a number of undocumented changes that were also applied to the game.<br><br><span style="font-style: italic;">Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures</span> forum poster krazymagic took it upon himself to compile all of these changes and release it to the public. So without any further fanfare here are the undocumented changes in the June 16 update:<br><br><span style="font-weight: bold;">General</span><br><ul><li>Chain Kills seem to occur more often now.</li><li>Trader <a href="http://aoc.qj.net/tags/npc/3098" id="tag" title="Non-player character">NPC</a>'s can now be found in Player cities.</li><li>Mounts</li><li>Skewbald Pinto horse now gives -3  sprinting stamina drain instead of -8 .</li><li>Reports of horse riding skills vanishing and being unavailable.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Playfields</span><br><ul><li>In fields of the dead a guard patrolling on roads formerly known as (45) has got his name back and doesn't attack players randomly anymore.</li><li>The water fountain in the Tarantia Noble District (one near the Armsman Tavern)has been filled with water and now works as king conan intended.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Items</span><br><ul><li>Ruby Silver has now been properly named "Black Silver".</li><li>"Rageflame Robe" uses a different robe art now.</li><li>"Nadiral Circlet" was renamed to "Nadiral Cowl" and also had its model changed.</li><li>Several "Scorpion Cave" loots that were previously missing their names have been fixed and now got proper names assigned to them.</li><li>Reports of level 70ish  robes haveing updated graphics.</li><li>The dagger from the Lich in Catacombs is no longer invisible, it now has a sort of short-sword sized dagger graphic.</li><li>The 'Bloodseer Vest' has drastically changed graphics into a dark blue robe. Still called 'Bloodseer Vest', so might have been an unintended change.</li><li>Drawing Ink and Parchment have updated graphics.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Quests</span><br><ul><li>New quest for the 5th villa is available (Villa Camillus)</li><li>Boosted exp from the other villas a lot (at least villa verde, to 33k)</li><li>Some resource quests can't be handed in.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Tradeskills</span><br><ul><li>Steelsilk Belt- Can't craft the blue version of it. You will get fine steelsilk MITTS.</li><li>Steelsilk Leggings- Can't craft the blue version of it you get fine steelsilk BELT.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Classes</span><br><ul><li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Priest of Mitra</span></li><ul><li>Force of Will is not increasing the damage of repulse at all. (supposed to increase damage by 90  according to forum mod)</li></ul><li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Conqueror</span></li><ul><li>All Battle Shouts now have a Sound effect.</li><li>When a lower level conq is grouped with a higher level one, the lower level Warlord takes precedence on all members of a group. The buff from the higher level conqueror should take precedence instead. (bug?)</li></ul><li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Bear Shaman</span></li><ul><li>Bear Shamans do not have "Wreck Armor", they have "Crush Armor" which has ranks I II III IV. "Crush Armor" animation has no change, for this reason.</li></ul><li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Guardian</span></li><ul><li>"Overreach" now has an addition to its animation.</li></ul><li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Assassin</span></li><ul><li>"Kidney Shot" CD removed/missing. (Lotus Spec)</li></ul><li><span style="font-weight: bold;">Necromancer</span></li><ul><li>Necros have had their feat trees rearranged in both Nightfall and Reanimation to quite some degree. No free respec for this change.(See notes below on how the tree's have been rearanged)</li><li>Relating to the feat changes- Talent points stayed with their respective talents while being moved so it is possible to have a talent that you no longer have the required amount of points invested into the tree to have.(IE you can have an item available that requires 15 feat points invested when you only have 10 invested.)</li></ul></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Comfirmed and/or Ongoing Bugs</span><br><ul><li>Gems still do not appear on the Trader after being searched for.</li><li>Guild members having problems stacking resources in the bank. These have to be removed, stacked in one's own bag and then placed back into the bank</li><li>Players that have previously completed the ritual to remove the Mark of Acheron still bear the mark.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Possible Bugs/issues- Need comfirmation</span><br><ul><li>Stats seem to only barely be affecting damage output, and appear still broken in other areas, mostly defensive characteristics of the stats are not being applied.(See dev response below)</li><li>The bug with NPCs not becoming visible until you are right on top of them is back. It was a bug they fixed last monday.(need confirmation)</li></ul><br><br>]]></description>

        <description><![CDATA[<img alt="Funcom's Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures MMORPG - Image 1" title="Funcom's Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures MMORPG - Image 1" src="http://img.qj.net/uploads/articles_module/121159/AgeOfConan_13.jpg?317239" style="cursor: pointer; margin-bottom: 3px; margin-left: 3px;" align="right" border="0">The <a href="http://mmorpg.qj.net/category/Age-of-Conan-Hyborian-Adventures/cid/783"><span title="Funcom's Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures MMORPG " style="font-style: italic;">Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures</span></a> servers were pulled down (and are still down as of this article's writing) to give the developers from <a href="http://aoc.qj.net/tags/funcom/1336" id="tag" title="Creator of MMORPG Age of Conan">Funcom</a> some time to apply <a title="Funcom and Eidos have big plans for Age of Conan's evolution" href="http://mmorpg.qj.net/Funcom-Eidos-have-big-plans-for-Age-of-Conan-s-evolution/pg/49/aid/121111">the latest updates</a> and fixes. <br><br>Senior Community Manager Oliver "Tarib" Kunz released the patch notes on the game's official server which detailed all of the changes made to the game, such as fixes for the gear stat bonuses, and the resource manager bug which would cause some systems to repeatedly download the same resource.<br><br>In case you don't want to go through the hassle of accessing your <span style="font-style: italic;">Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures</span> forum account, here are the patch notes as taken from Tarib's post on the official forums:<br><br><span style="font-weight: bold;">Player Characters</span><br style="font-weight: bold;"><br style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Archetype</span><br style="font-weight: bold;"><ul><li>New buff counters were added to a number of mage and soldier effects.</li><li>All gathering feats should now have the correct proficiency suffix in their name (e.g. 'You need Woodcutting Novice to perform this action' messages).</li><li>The Goad ability can be trained and used on a <a href="http://aoc.qj.net/tags/npc/3098" id="tag" title="Non-player character">NPC</a> that does not have aggro on you. You must be in combat to use this ability.</li><li>The buffs from <a href="http://aoc.qj.net/tags/rogue/4912" id="tag" title="">rogue</a> general feats Concealment, Distraction and Mountaineer will now be removed from characters when they untrain feats.</li><li>You can no longer enter spellweaving when climbing or swimming. If you are hiding or crouching and enter spellweaving, you will leave that state immediately.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Assassin</span><br><ul><li>Flesh Rot now applies a separate debuff for each player</li><li><a href="http://aoc.qj.net/tags/lotus/3199" id="tag" title="">Lotus</a> Weapons now applies a separate debuff for each player.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Bear Shaman</span><br><ul><li>Wreck Armor I II III combos now have improved visuals and sound.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Conqueror</span><br><ul><li>You may now use Incite the Ranks if Fire Weave is running.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Dark Templar</span><br><ul><li>Soul Barrier's cast time has been reduced from 3 seconds to 1 second.</li><li>Changed the Cooldown of Unhallowed Blight III to 20s.</li><li>Changed the Unholy Debuff to be 5  on all combos and changed the duration of the debuff to last for 25s.</li><li>Reduced the Mana cost of the following spells by 50 :</li><ul><li>Aura of Dread Fury (Ranks 1 - 4)</li><li>Aura of Infusion (Ranks 1 - 5)</li><li>Covenant of Pestilence (Ranks 1 - 4)</li><li>Covenant of War (Ranks 1 - 3)</li><li>Covenant of Death</li><li>Covenant of Invulnerability (Ranks 1 - 3)</li><li>Covenant of Vengeance</li><li>Drain Life (Ranks 1 - 5)</li></ul></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Demonologist</span><br><ul><li>Waves of Flame now inflicts more damage each tick.</li><li>The animation for the Demonologist-spell Unholy Hate has been slowed down a bit.</li><li>Resolved an minor issue with Demonologist spellweaving not affecting stamina potion effects.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Herald of Xotli</span><br><ul><li>Resolved a issue with "Blood Pit" so it will always spawn if you successfully kill a minion with the "I Eat Your Heat" combo.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Necromancer</span><br><ul><li>Vile Insight now gives the intended Unholy Specialization as reflected in the description.</li><li>Plagued Heart Curse will now correctly increase in damage with more feats trained.</li><li>Parasitic Soul Swarm now inflicts more damage each tick.</li><li>Pestilential Blast now has an additional skull visual.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Priest of Mitra</span><br><ul><li>Resolved a problem with the priest of mitra spellweaving ability.</li><li>Repulse has had its base damage lowered slightly and contribution from bonus magic damage increased.</li><li>Cleansing Fire now has a slightly lower manacost and now scales correctly across all levels.</li><li>The damage bonus applied to Repulse, Cleansing Fire, and Lance of Mitra from Force of Will has been lowered to the correct amount.</li><li>The damage bonus from Improved Repulse has been significantly increased</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Ranger</span><br><ul><li>The buffs from ranger stances Shattering Stance, Piercing Stance, Fire Stance and Sniper Stance will now be removed from characters when they untrain feats.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Tempest of Set</span><br><ul><li>Brutal Lightning Strike should no correctly increase the critical strike chance of Lightning Strike.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Mounts</span><br><ul><li>You can no longer be knocked off the horse from the front.</li><li>You can be knocked off from the side: more likely by monsters higher level then you and less likely by monsters lower then you. The chance almost drops to 0 if they are grey to you.</li><li>Full chance to be knocked off from behind by monsters of higher or equal level than you. Monsters that are grey to you still cannot cause a dismount even from the back</li><li>Fixed a problem where advanced mount abilities were being given out by the basic training. Mammoth and Rhino owners - Please use /claim again. This will train the attack abilities associated with these two mount types.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Quests</span><br><ul><li>Dealing with Dila: Dila should now attack.</li><li>Hunting the Spider: Quest can now be completed.</li><li>The Lost Scouts: Waypoint to Diarmad was fixed.</li><li>Oasis of Zaara: Waypoints for quest were fixed.</li><li>Flowers of the Snow: The flowers way markers were adjusted.</li><li>Paetus and the Nemedian Crown: Waypoint for Armsman's Tavern was fixed.</li><li>Rahim &amp; Lord Camillus: had it's journal text modified to point to the correct location.</li><li>Death to the Undead: Indicators for minimap were displaying to small. This has been resolved.</li><li>The Mark of Acheron: Players will now be able to experience the destiny event in the Field of Chiefs.</li><li>The Mark of Acheron: The Mark of Acheron is permanently removed when performing the Medallion Ritual now.</li><li>Soul Chamber: If you die in the soul chamber you now lose the tablet in your quest inventory.</li><li>Added item rewards for the quests "The Honoured Dead I", "The Honoured Dead II", "The Honoured Dead III" and "The Honoured Dead IV".</li><li>Destiny Quest: The quest rewards 'King Conan's Tribute' &amp; 'King Conan's Esteem' can no longer be traded.</li><li>The Lost Bottles: Wine bottles will now have a blue flame indicating you can interact with them.</li><li>Tradeskill Quests: You can now delete all tradeskill quests but not tradeskill progression quests.</li><li>Tradeskill Quests: Resolved various level requirement issues with the quests.</li><li>Securing the Caravan Route": Added the correct waypoint for returning to Gua</li><li>In the quest "A Curious Encounter" in Field of the Dead Quest, Radi will no longer give the player an amulet.</li><li>"The Wolves at our Throats": Moved the waypoint for the location of the Wolverines, for the quest .</li><li>Vistrix now drops his tooth for the quest "Master of the Silver Peacock." If the player has the quest to gather resources or craft, but has lost the feat that enables him to do so, the feat is now retrained (to the correct tier).</li><li>All crafted cloaks now support the equipping of gems.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">GUI</span><br><ul><li>All Assassin abilities which stack multiple times now have a stack count in the buff GUI.</li><li>All Bear Shaman, Priest of Mitra, and Tempest of Set abilities which stack multiple times now have a stack count in the buff GUI.</li><li>The targeting arrow should now be positioned correctly when targeting a horse, a gorilla or a mutilator</li><li>We have implemented a control to the options menu for how often background music plays. Tweak this if you wish to change how often you hear background music.</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">General</span><br><ul><li>You should no longer do the loot animation while swimming.</li><li>Fixed a problem where certain high level monsters wouldn't spawn.</li><li>Now all spells can be cast with dagger and staff without problems.</li><li>When you train Basic or Advanced Riding, you will no longer be teleported</li><li>Fixed an alignment issue with quest indicators over quest NPC's heads.</li><li>Locking to raid instances have been fixed. All players participating in a raid will now be locked to the same instance instead of entering a new one after death..</li><li>Fixed problem that would cause the resource manager to download the same resource again and again.</li><li>Bonus spell damage now increases both minimum and maximum damage, instead of just maximum (average damage will remain unchanged).</li><li>Stat bonuses from items (strength, wisdom, dexterity and constitution) will now affect your character properly (Note that strength now directly affects your DPS, not your attack rating).</li></ul><span style="font-weight: bold;">Khopshef Province</span><br><ul><li>Numerous quests has been added to the playfield.</li><li>Freed Rogue Slave should now use his weapons correctly.</li><li>Treasures are now located throughout the province.</li><li>The Arax Queen should now stick to her spawn location.</li><li>Tweaked some gameplay; added more camp NPCs and roaming animals.</li><li>Fixed some areas which could be exploited.</li><li>Boat Captain Amyr should now have the [Khemi] tag.</li><li>The Traveling Merchant should now travel.</li><li>The Followers of Derketo should now patrol.</li><li>Ptah should no longer get killed by the Mantis.</li></ul><br><hr style="width: 100 ; height: 2px;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"> update </span> The servers are now up! This new feature gives players one <a href="http://aoc.qj.net/tags/powerpoint/2516" id="tag" title="Microsoft application for making slide presentations">Powerpoint</a> per week of subscription or for every level their character was supposed to hit beyond 80 (the current level cap). These points can eventually be turned in for experience, in-<a href="http://aoc.qj.net/tags/game-gear/7228" id="tag" title="">game gear</a>, and even feats to improve your character. <br><br>The dialogue with Godager is essentially a discussion on all <a title="One of the hot topics is a discussion on the mounts in Age of Conan" href="http://mmorpg.qj.net/Age-of-Conan-Hyborian-Adventures-developer-discusses-mounts/pg/49/aid/121082">the hot topics in the forums</a>, including a few important notes on crafting and tradeskills as well as what the developers are doing to fix the guild versus guild PvP system.<br><br>So what are you waiting for?
